Solid gold executive desktop sculpture, handmade in the United Kingdom.
A unique, one-of-a-kind piece, cast in one of the world’s most luxurious of materials. The design is inspired by organic structural systems found in natural marine formations.

Size: 2.4cm Wide x 5.5cm High x 2cm Deep.

Removed from its plinth this piece measures 5.5cm (a little over two inches). It weighs 21.1g and has been cast from yellow and white gold.
The gold alloy used contains 375 parts per thousand of pure gold and is commonly known as 9ct. It has been set with a natural yellow and a natural white diamond. It has been stamped with a hallmark form the London assay office.

This piece can be removed from the oxidised silver plinth it is supplied on so that the implausible weight of the precious metal and tactile qualities of the sculpture can be explored to help relieve stress or inspire positive thought.
This work is robust and small enough to be transported in the pocket or bag. It could possibly be worn on a cord or chain as an elaborate piece of contemporary jewellery.

I have worked for most of my life within the jewellery trade and am now using the skills I have acquired to construct sculpture. Although most traditional jewellery is not strictly utilitarian, it still has the constraints associated with being displayed on the human body. With my current work I am releasing the precious materials I’m familiar with from such restraints and recognizing them as a suitable medium to create fine art.

I do my best to insure all the raw materials I use have been sourced responsibly and I always price my work honestly. All pieces are handmade in a small workshop in the English countryside and shipped to collectors across the world.
