Sterling Silver and blue topaz barn owl pendant. With its heart-shaped face, white feathers and ghostly silent flight the barn owl (Tyto alba) is a distinctive and much-loved countryside bird. Barn owls are the most widely distributed species of owl, and one of the most widespread of all bird species. They mate for life and can live for fifteen years.

This silver barn owl pendant measures 3cm or one and a quarter inches across its face. Without its solid silver chain, it weighs around 20g and has eyes made from 6mm garnets. This owl was hand carved from wax which had a mould taken from it and was then cast in solid silver and given a hallmark by the assay office. It is supplied on a solid sterling silver chain in its own gift box.
