Hand made in England. This 9ct yellow gold lion measures 1.8cm wide (which is a little under three quarters of an inch). Without its solid gold chain it weighs approximately 8.4g (or 11.8g with its chain), and has eyes made from brilliant-cut yellow diamonds.
The gold lion has been hung from a sturdy 20 inch long chain.
This pendant is supplied in its own gift box.

With this piece I have tried my hardest to present a very regal portrait of this majestic, king of the beasts. Worldly wise, hardened by life’s struggles and at the peak of its physical prowess.
The lion traditionally symbolises courage, nobility, royalty, strength, stateliness and valour.

To create the lion I have utilized some of the most up-to-date technology alongside some of the oldest skills still used in jewellery and silversmithing. The original lion was hand carved from wax before being digitally resized. It was cast in solid 9ct gold, which was then reworked, for several hours, using traditional Goldsmiths' tools, to produce a very fine detail.
To emphasize the details of the carving, the lion was given a part polished and part satin finish. The whole piece was then given a Hallmark to prove it is made of gold. The chain is also Hallmarked.
