Wolves are found in various guises throughout remote areas of the Northern Hemisphere. They have been an essential element in the folk law and literature of almost all cultures and ages.
She-wolves are the epitome of maternal protection and feminine strength, they were particularly prevalent in Roman legend and also the title given to Europe’s war-like medieval queens.

This 9ct yellow gold wolf’s head measures around 2cm from the tip of its nose to the tips of its ears (2cm is a little over three quarters of an inch). It has eyes made from natural, cabochon cut peridot. The wolf ring has been given a Hallmark from the Assay Office to prove that it is made of gold.

This ring will be supplied in its own gift box.

To create it I have utilized some of the most up-to-date technology alongside some of the oldest skills still used in jewellery and goldsmithing. The original was hand carved from wax before being digitally scanned and resized. It was cast in solid gold, which was then reworked, for several hours, using traditional Goldsmiths' tools, to produce a very fine detail.

To emphasize the details of the carving, the pendant was given a part polished and part satin finish.

Wearing a piece of Adrian Ashley’s jewellery identifies you as someone who can appreciate handmade goods and fine craftmanship.
