Glaucus atlanticus is known by many names include the sea swallow, blue angel, blue dragon, and blue ocean slug. It is in fact a species of pelagic nudibranch that floats at the surface of the ocean.
Sea Swallows occur throughout the world's oceans, in the warmer temperate and tropical waters, where they hunt the notoriously venomous Portuguese man o' war jellyfish.

At a little over 3cm or one and a quarter inches long, this solid silver model of a Sea Swallow is approximately life size. The sea swallow has a polished finish and is supplied on an adjustable cord in an attractive drawstring bag.
