Made from solid sterling silver, this substantial pendant captures the noble character of the horse — alert, strong, and full of movement. Its flowing mane curves back to form the bail, and fine quality, natural sapphires, 2.75mm in size, gleam from its eyes, adding life and quiet intensity to the gaze.

Areas of the silver have been carefully oxidised to bring out definition and depth, while the unoxidised surfaces are finished to a soft satin sheen — echoing the play of light on a horse’s coat. The design began with close study of equine anatomy, and the master model was hand-carved from wax, over days of patient work, before being cast in sterling silver.

The pendant measures 4.5cm (1¾ inches) and weighs around 24 grams — a solid, tactile piece. It bears a hallmark from the Assay Office, to prove that it is silver, and is presented on a strong sterling silver chain, ready to be worn with pride.
