Designed and hand-finished in the United Kingdom. Sterling silver Dunkleosteus pendant, that would make the ideal gift for a scientist or scholar. This piece of jewellery is set with an ethical, laboratory grown sapphire and is supplied with either a 20" solid silver chain or a waxed cord to wear it on.

With its huge, armoured head and blades for teeth, Dunkleosteus is probably the best know fish from the Devonian period, and has enthralled palaeontologists since its fossils were first discovered in 1867.

D. terrelli, is the largest, best-known species of Dunkleosteus has traditionally been depicted assuming a shark-like body plan with a possible length of up to 10 meters (33 feet). Although, a more recent reconstruction gives D. terrelli a much chunkier, piranha-like shape.
This sterling silver pendant shows Dunkleosteus in its new ‘chunky’ guise. It is set with a faceted sapphire crystal for its eye and measures 2.6cm, which is just over an inch, in length. The pendant comes in its own gift box.
