Enamel Dachshund on an 18ct gold disk in a silver pendant mount

Pendant and chain featuring a hand painted enamel dachshund dog on a solid 18ct yellow gold disk, set in a sterling silver pendant mount and attached to a solid sterling silver chain with an 18ct gold ring.

This pendant features a  mm central disk of 18ct yellow gold. The dachshund motif is painted into a dog‑shaped recess cut into the gold. The design is created using the Limoges technique, in which multiple layers of finely ground glass “paint” are fused onto a white enamel base. This process requires several firings and takes many hours to complete.

The enamelled gold disk is set into a hallmarked, sterling silver mount measuring  mm in diameter (just inch). The pendant is hung on a sturdy silver chain measuring  50cm (20 inches).

Notes on enamelled jewellery:

Enamels are best treated as if they are opals, pearls or other more delicate jewels.
These enamels cannot be easily repaired, so they should be treated as dress jewellery and not worn whilst engaging in sports or performing active tasks.
